Our Mission

The Guardian Center, Inc. is committed to the protection and healing of abused children and their families.

What We’ve Achieved

  • Established multidisciplinary teams in eight Southeastern Illinois Counties,

  • Established four locations for children to receive a forensic interview and advocacy services close to their home,

  • Provided training and support for mandated reporters within the community,

  • Provided community education to ensure our communities know the signs and symptoms of abuse

  • Provided support to medical providers for specialized child abuse training,

  • Provided Trauma Informed Mental Health Treatment for children reported as abused,

  • Provided training opportunities for law enforcement, child protection, and prosecution partners in best practices for child abuse investigations, and

  • Provided court assistance and accompaniment for children and families as they go through court processes.
